As you may have realised, I don't have a very high opinion of McDonald's.
Even so, my gast has just been flabbered.

I've just had a gander at August's Riders Digest - you know, the biker mag that used to be amusing when it was about courier stuff.

A couple of twats from McDonald's - not content with giving their wonderful non-employers £350-worth of free advertising every day, as they ride around London in their blue and white bibs - have decided to advertise McDonald's on a jaunt to the Balkans. Lots of pictures of them, with prominently placed McDonald's bibs, all over Slovenia and Croatia. Or so the text and the article would have us believe.

My Russian isn't great and my eyesight's going, but I'm sure the Cyrillic writing on the sign in the main picture (McDonald's bozo's bib prominent) says "Irkutskaya Oblast".

Even by City Sprint standards, that is a mindbuggeringly fucking impressive piece of getting lost!
I thought they had GPS gear at McDonald's. How the hell would Spiro explain that to a punter?

lots of citysprint riders wear the clothes because they are cheap/free and not just because their EMPLOYER imposes an illegal UNIFORM on it's riders.

seriously though basie, having a go at courier firms on the internet is really easy pickings, anything that they can be accused of can also be said about at least 5 other firms. with the exception of their utterly reprehensible treatment of paul. anyways from what i hear from their riders they're doing pretty well in terms of pay at the mo- much better than other firms.

City Sprint are one of the better firms to work for, so long as you accept that the office employs morons and bite your tongue when the consequences of them employing morons (and paying those morons out of the 50% cut of your wages they pocket) bite you on the arse.

Last time I left them, I simply told them I wasn't going to stick to their daft regulations when implementing those regulations at 7pm screwed me, screwed the client, screwed the clients' customer.....but allowed McDonald's to charge for three journeys instead of one.
I even rang Paul Meunier to clear it when I got home. He OK'd things, but some minion got his dick out when he came in at 10 the following morning and I just told them to stuff it. I'm not pulling the "I know your directors!" crap.

There are many worse firms than City Sprint.
