I'm working to start a small bike messenger company here in Long Beach, California and would love to hear anyone's ideas or comments about how to accomplish this, what pitfalls I'm likely to encounter, what types of services I could offer, and anyone's experience working for themselves. As far as I can determine, this is the first time this has been tried here, and my only competition seems to be high priced motor carriers, whom I can easily beat economically.. My only experience is from riding in Washington DC many years ago., but loved doing it then and would like to return to it again.
