I've been thinking the un-thinkable. I've been thinking to do some food delivery in London as an extra job. Anyone ever done that in this town before? I know a load of kids in brooklyn that make bank doing it, but I also know you british folk havn't invented the tip yet.

    Any thoughts?

I might actually look into that, Ian, cheers.

Then you'd have to ride one of those weird bikes that's just a fat tube with pedals.

    They look dodgy as fuck.

Well, to be honest pizza delivery probobly wouldn't work as well as say, chinese food. Although I could get one of those proper fron racks and put a pizza box on my spare bike.

I know that this sounds like a really silly idea, but it's only because no one does it in London yet. Just think, a job that the fakengers won't copy!

nhatt - you could start your own service selling vegan food to health freaks around the city. i would hate delivering food for a pittance knowing the huge amount of money to be made selling it. [/business advisor]

i got one of my old roomies to do that for my company when i lived in the states b/c she was an amazing cook and needed $$$ on the side. we stole a milk crate and attached it to the front of her bike and she would come deliver it to the studio using that!

but, it's really labour intensive, and she found it wasn't worth her time in the end. :/

"she found it wasn't worth her time in the end."

what sort of prices was she charging?
  6.
Why doesn't anyone do this already?

And do you need some sort of food hygeine license type thing? Thom the other Brum messenger said something like that would be needed if we were to go into food delivery, but I ain't sure

I used to co-own a restraunt, and there is no way I would do this again. EVER. I was a chef before a courier, and I still remember why I got out of the kitchen.

No, I need an extra job that isn't going to make me stop working for creative, something low maintenence and not too stressful. Something like what I do now, only as an evening and weekend job.

    How about artists muse?
  9.
I did that too. In fact, I've done over 17 different jobs in the past 10 years.

I have three older brothers Nhatt; I think my parents kept going, wanting a girl, until they got me and thought "well, that's close enough". So Mommy Will it is.
