    As is already widely known, I am a miserable old cnut.

    Cheer up, 57 isn't that old. At least you aren't 80! And grey hair is better than no hair. I know they say one year older equals one year closer to the grave, but think positive man, I like to think one year older = one year closer to heaven :-)

    And, don't feel bad about the impotence, many pensioners suffer from it.
