I either drill it or I try and find someone who makes a half-decent chrome / carbon 650c fork. I would prefer to drill this one, but the round fork blades may not take braking forces very well... Look:
I think it will end up with Bianchi celeste bar tape on Nitto track drops, with either an old single-pivot Record front brake or a Delta if I can find one. Record Pista 170mm chainset will be fitted, to match Dura-Ace cog and lockring.
Anyone got a short Cinelli or 3TTT stem I can have? Looking for a very short one, cos the frame is loooong.
looks like there ain't much space to drill :( guys at bikefix might be able to help, they were gonna do some for me a while back but decided to get another set in the end... check out places like st john street bikes for another set maybe?
not an option?what do you mean?????????????????????????????
Do we have to have the couriers and brakes discussion again? I'll try and drill it (or get the guys at bikefix to do it) and if it all goes wrong I'll have to spend some on a new 650c Profile fork. I would like to keep the round blades and super-close clearance of the original though....

Pardon? When they can't return a set of pad's to the manufacturer because they are wearing metal from the rim rather than laying down a thin rubber contact patch to slow you down with, I would go elsewhere.. (The muppet's obviously don't get out that much, and to my knowledge in the past 12 year's, I've had one other set of pad's do this to a rim and they were from Shimano, which I promptly ditched in favour of a set of AZTEC/Madison which I have had no trouble with until now, 11 year's later.. (I have indeed been using the same manufacturer's to slow me down for the past 11 year's, as they can stop me in an endo with one finger on my 2 digit brake lever's, outside of emergency stop's. Now imagine it this way, would you like to stopppppp, with a set that pick metal from your rim's, or would you like to stop without having broken anything.. (The extra 5 p's would be either a truck or bus in my case, and that is not good.) SO BIKEFIX, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I SUGGEST YOU TAKE THE USED PAD'S DOWN FROM THE WALL WHERE YOU PUT THEM AND DO WHAT I WANTED YOU TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE, BEFORE I COME ROUND WITH A SOLICITOR. ( I understand Mat is leaving, so he has nothing to lose if the pad's stay up, but may I remind you as a shop, that we, as consumer's, have right's and you have overstepped the mark as a shop.)
I would like load's of free stuff please Stewart...
Well, when someone comes up to me and say's "You are barred from Bikefix for returning some pad's 2-3 week's after installing them, and they have them on the wall of the shop with a note for all to see" kind of get's my attention. As a consumer of bicycle part's for the best part of 12 year's, I have had a few item's fail drastically, and usually very soon after purchase, which have alway's been replaced and the broken item sent back to the manufacturer so that they can study what went wrong and correct it for future riding joy for other's.
Condor are doing it. I really wanna use my beee-autiful record deltas, but I don't think there'll be enough tyre clearance. 10mm - ha ha joker.
Anyone wanna buy 2005 Ultegra front and rear mechs? Braze-on. Also have some nice Exage single-pivots in grey/blue.
And a Spinergy Rev-X rear shimano clincher (700c) and some original GAN team-issue Rock Shox paris roubaix forks (the ones with the air / oil, lock out and magnesium legs - they even come with the special pump).
And I have a pair of Pace RC31 rigid 26' forks, with the black magnesiuum crown. Sold without canti bosses, but I have those too if you wanna make me an offer.
And a brand-new Hope XC Ti front hub, 32h and 6-bolt disk fitting. I will build it into a wheel if you want - you supply the spokes and rim and it's yours for £45.
