HI, I was pointed to the site by a friend. I have a GT Peace MTB and i'm in need of some singlespeed specific disk wheels. Currently it's got Mavic Crossrides on but i know it will ride better with proper wheels.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Paul

it would make morse sense just to fit a singlespeed conversion kit to a pair of 8/9/10sp freehub wheels surely? they're only about £15 at the most, ive seen them for a tenner from CRC

I used to have a DMR revolver SS rear hub. I couriered on it for over a year in sunny Glasgow and the bearings were fine. it seemed similar quality to Goldtec but only cost about £40
Another courier up there had converted one to take a fixed sprocket and he had no complaints either.
I never used the disc mount though... my bike maintenance had got so lax I was braking Ted Shred style.

i've got a dmr revolver, its a good solid cheap hub. flip-flop too. if you've got money to throw around you should get a profile hub, they're about £200 and pretty much say "nick me" in 82 foot high neon letters.
