i'm hoping you can help me, and hook me up with some advice / contacts.
I'm a film director currently on development on a feature set in NYC. The led character is a bike messenger.
I'm based in London, and although i love bikes ( - my greatest ever childhood possession was a rusty track bike i pulled out of a skip) I have never been part of the messenger scene and am now intrigued to find out more so i get the representation correct.
The movie is a urban 'fairy-tale' about the complexities of the city and the political climate. We're aiming to make the movie of our time.
Which brings me to you. I'm doing a load of research a part of which is meeting with messangers and test shooting. I am aiming to make a short film as part of this - and am in search of the most well known, infamous, fastest guys in London.
It would be really cool if you could point me in the direction of who those guys are right now, inc. new kids on the scene too.
Given your wicked mag ... i'm presuming you're an expert in such thing!
