The fire brigade was kind enough to bend my frame enough to destroy the tracking, and write it off.
Great AD for mini-Krypto locks, but not so great for my bike.

So I am in need of a frame 56-cm to work on. Cheap as chips, don't care if its day-glow yellow and pink as long as its structurally sound.

Please drop me a line if you have some lying around...thanks guys

oh no! sorry to hear about the frame, but kinda glad to hear about the mini-d  afraid i don't have access to anything i could qualify as "cheap as chips".
  2.
Shit, that's a bit out of order. Why did the LFB do that?

have you tried Jos!? he has a shitload of frames all sizes...
  3.
LFB had to get my mini-d off as the key and locking mechanism decided on early retirement.

Yea, tracked down a frame a couple of hours ago, thanks...this posting now needs to change to:
" I NEED 165 CRANKS AND A WAY TO GET MY CURRENT THREADBARE SET OFF SO I CAN GET MY BB OUT A.S.A.P "

And all the bike stores workshops are full...Awesommmmeeeeeeeeee!

Any ideas that don't involve me carving my own threads in with a breadknife...?

if you can wait till saturday and make it to crouch end i should be able to cut oversize threads for you in exchange for beer

i'll be impressed if he does. tbh it's a fucking pig of a job, for a £20 bottom bracket it probably aint worth the hassle- especially if the frame's fucked.
  5.
Thanks Pike, was at Jos today. Will drop him a line tomorrow...

Wanna rescue my beaut of a frame and get a new top tube and possible re-spray, so worth the effort.

Im gonna try Condor, and get there when they open, and try my begging strategy...(sorry Fish-you always get the best jobs from me, and my 'ride it till its broke' approach!!!)

loathe though i am to say it, wayne is actually right. *gasps in shock*

    *that's better*

condor don't actually do frame building themselves. witcomb in deptford or chas roberts in croydon are your best bet. i'd probably go for witcomb, but even there it'll take a week at the very least i would have thought.

No no no, Getting stripped crank out at Condor (...hopefully, <everything is booked up>)

Getting top tube fixed by Vaz (not sure if its Whitcomb Cycles?) Just gotta get crank out so I can take it there, and then use the BB in new frame, Argh! Not good form to take it for fixing at frame builder attached to a stuck crank! ;)

i heard you was something else! CHEERS MATE! hope you are well Eh!?
  7.
if your cranks are stripped you can grind them off, get your grinder, and push cross-wise to the crank arm like a + with the bit your grinding away centered on axel/ hole with out threads.

or you could use the appropriate tools designed to get them out with out damaging the frame and actual makes the usable again. crazy i know
  8.
grinding the crank off wont damage your frame, unless you slip, alot

badly worded- cutting oversize threads makes the cranks usable again.
  9.
true, but most people wont have access to a thread cutter, and could have access to a grinder.
