My name’s Natasha and I’m a researcher for a new show on BBC Switch (the BBC's new teen brand) to be transmitted on BBC2 on Sunday evenings.
I'm really keen to find some teens who live in the countryside/ city and have a really defined world view - be it ecological, spiritual, political. Non-conformists, environmentalists, hippies, eco-warriors, pagans, English folklore enthusiasts, utterly interesting individuals...
We are looking for 16,17,18 or 19 year olds, with an engaging personality and a sense of adventure. They could either go on the adventure of becoming their opposite for a weekend. Or act as 'mentor' to someone from a very different world.
It's a cool show, which offers the chance for the right person to be the star of their own BBC show, have a totally different life experience for one weekend, possible prizes and guaranteed fun.
If you are interested in taking part or you know of any potential applicants for the show, I would be really grateful if you could you ask them to contact switch@alchemy.tv 0r call our production mobile on 07504 583 3302 or my office number 0207 434 5987.
As someone who used to work at the BBC, can I ask what the ethnic minority quota is for the talking heads on this prog? Presumably it's a bit higher than the percentage working at W12 HQ?
