Saturday 19th April 2pm outside The Sandbar: Yo Fixie III An event for fixed gear riders. With comps inc: Track Stand, Track Skid, Sprint and more. To participate in this event please register ASAP by emailing cantgoslo@gmail.com and cc info@ibikemcr.org.uk
The Sandbar have very kindly agreed to putting on an amazing "street party" type thing at the back of the bar, with a dj and outdoor bar, during the Yo Fixie event so even if you haven't got a fixed wheel bike you can come down and watch the others and socialise with other bike lovers...ace.
i know i wanted to do a bike kill style jousting thing and posted a thing for welding tall bikes but nooone came or responded...if you're up for it we could set a date in the summer...and start making bike soon. i have a yard, loads of spare steel bikes and a welder..grrrrr..
@Iron Eye: sounds like you want persuading... well, I'm playing some tunes and the beer is free. ..actually, the beer's not free, but that's still half-good. ...and it ain't gonna rain (latest info as of this post)
I am a winner. It looks like you had a great time but I'm glad I never came, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford the deposit on the house I'm moving into :-D
iron eye: i think you should start that website esp seeing as you spend all your time, it seems, by the computer instead of getting your arse outta the house to have some fun..is this what you've become? critiquing photos on forums? fuck you should get out more... like friday???
nope we dont but we (me and you not everyone) have legs and its kinda commutable...or im sure blaggable on the train...non?
anyway this is all boosting you ego too much am not that bothered you didnt come wouldve just been nice to see you specially as you keep moaning about being all alone there in brum.
To be fair the last Virgin trains Brum to MCR voyage turned into a real farce...firstly they wouldnt let us on without a pass, then we had the wrong pass and couldn't get on. Then we somehow got trapped in the bike compartment and had to push our bikes through the seating area to get out and nearly didn't get off before the train doors closed. The night train from the city centre to whereverwestayed was another saga in itself, as we were sandwiched - with our bikes - between 200 hundred semi-conscious and close to puking rat-arsed Liverpudlians and had to literally fight our way of the train. Not to mention that MoD actually managed to miss this train to begin with and somehow turned up 5 mins down the line. Trains and bikes just don't mix too well in this country.
