Any tips for riding in snow? Should I get back on the MTB for this week or am I just being a (ironically Canadian) pussy.
  1.
Lower your tyre pressure to about 80 PSI, Wear full length top/trousers and gloves in case you crash. Drink shitloads of alkyhol to make you warm, but not enough to make you fall over. Works every time.
  2.
It'll all be gone by tomorrow.

Slow down, foot down on corners (unless you're riding fixed),wear cycling glasses or peaked cap to keep snow out of eyes, avoid braking on drain covers...so same as rain really but more so.

I know what you mean about braking on drain covers... they're so slippery when wet it's unreal. Proper hazard.
  3.
I reckon the most important thing is to stay warm. If it snows all day, you will get wet. But if you wear the right stuff you will stay warm.

I could do cold or wet, but not cold AND wet.

Cold or wet, but not the both of them... I hear that.
  4.
much rather be wet then cold, but one, not both or i would be a sad boy.

    Sow tips:
knobby tires for any snow on the road, studded knobby for deep snow, or ice.
check your brake adjustment, get it tight.
ride a fixed wheel if possible. more control over your traction, more feeling of slip, no gears to freeze.
ride single speed, derailur gears can freeze, that is no fun.
if there is snow on the road ride in the hard packed stuff, not the fluffy stuff.
    take corners slower and wider.
lights on, its really hard to see in the snow, i have driven in it, trust me.
warm hat, covered ears, over shoes, full fingered gloves, good water proofs are all really nice.
throw some extra socks in your bag for changing if yours get wet, or adding if your feet get cold, keep your extremities warm
have something to poke snow out of your clipless pedals and cleats with, that stuff gets every where.
peds will be running around with their heads down, be careful.
drivers will not know how to handle the snow, so be extra careful

    stay safe, stay warm.

i never felt i got my moneys worth for riding in the snow. for the extra effort/discomfort/risk i would expect an awful lot more £s tbh.

    fairies.
  6.
hail is the worst possible riding condition that exists, 50p size hail= one bruised messenger.
