Cycle couriers being chic and all that, lots of twats want to stick their mikes and cameras under the noses of pushies. However, one respected, non-conformist, left-field and almost certainly sympathetic mob - with a good track record of doing balanced progs on various low-life "alternative culture" communities - is looking to do a documentary this summer. Initially it was proposed as a motorcycle courier gig, but they've missed the boat by twenty years, as there aren't too many Wild Ones types left on bikes. Very decent chance it will be on proper TV, quite possibly the Bolshevik Bullshitting Collective. I have it on good authority that Bill has turned the gig down flat (It will involve a camera crew invading the office.) Enquiries at potentially more accommodating firms will be made. Certain firms are clearly out. City Sprint's culling of dissent amongst the pushbike fleet and automatic sacking of anyne with any personality probably makes them unsuitable, for instance. I will be making enquiries next week. Off hand, anyone reckon their firm would be up for it?
Bill probably asked if they were prepared to pay. If the answer was no, then he probably said forget it. It's the first thing anyone should ask a tv prod company. After all, the tv company is going to get paid for the show.
Not Bill's call about invading the office. It's not his business, after all.
