    I'm after a cheap chainring, where's a good place to order one? I don't really want to spend more than £20

    used to get stronglight's bog standard road rings....which work fine with 1/8 chains for a tenner from deeside (closed down?) or Ribble....

    I didn't realise you could use normal road chainrings with 1/8 chains until someone pointed it out to me the other week. I wish I had known that before! Ordered a stronglight one from ribble for about a tenner. cheers

    It's actually a good choice because the extra space means less whirr if you have a slightly imperfect chain line.

    Hi, I find Universal Cycles an online shop based in the US is great. I order stuff to Australia and even with the postage it is still much cheaper than buying locally.
