    Hey guys,

I'm aware this probably sounds incredibly lame, but I was wondering if any of you know if it's possible to work as a bicycle courier for a day a week? The deal is that I'm a student, and I've already got a part-time job, but I love cycling in the city and biking in general. So I thought it'd be a great way to actually get some money for that anyway (yeah, yeah, let my illusions be shattered later!)

Anyway, anyone know if it's possible, and if so, could they recommend any reputably companies?

there are no reputable companies in the world of bicycle messengering [at least in london, anyway]. you'll also have a job finding a company that will take you on on such a part time basis if you have no previous experience. like so many things in life, if you really want to do it, go all the way [ie. full time].

I work two days a week, but already had full time experience when i moved to this company. Its not really practical if you have no experience

And what are the companies that take you part time when you have experience?
  2.
Oi Lucas, you already know a company that will employ YOU part time

Haha thanks andy. The knee is getting there, still pretty tight and dodgy on some movements but looking forward to getting back on circuit soon.

i'm in a similar situation to ik07.. anyone know any companies worth applying to?
I just called up cyclone, they said they didn't have any work available and to try again in a couple weeks.
any pointers to any other decent companies?

Have a look at one of the advice threads. I am sure there is some good stuff in there.

GLH don't give me any shit when I ask for a day off to sort out uni stuff or to leave early to go to my other job. You could always give them a call.
