Hi, I'm coming down to london in a few weeks and want to find courier work. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which companies pay the best/get the most work?
Over easter I was working for Arrow Exp. getting £2.50 per job in the central and 1 zones, but they rarely gave me enough work. are any other companies better? thanks. :?:

F.G mate dont even go there, special delivery have fooled many a newbie into working for them.
one story from a fellow pushie was he got their number in the phone book under the name metro couriers thinking it was the real "metro" he went along and did 2 days work for 40 quid, and proceeded to tell them to get fcuked! one job he got was wood lane w12 to the island w/rtn!
dare i say it mach1 are ok to start with.....if they are stilll going? 21 brownlow mews wc1 ask for scott
On that link it quotes £200 for a 45 hour week, as a basic minimum. with Arrow Express I was averaging Aprox. £160, even after a few weeks. Not enough work. So I guess I wont be going back to them. F.G.

£200 for 45hours!!!! they actually fucking quote themselves as offering below minimum wage, this industry really makes me angry sometimes
never did get asked if i had a bike until sydney. where one company i worked for wouldnt let me work until i had reflectors back and front! also my giro helmet was not up to aussie standards and had to buy one of there packing foam offerings!
a bell was also compulsory and front & rear brakes on a fixed!
the fleet manager also came into to the cbd most weeks to check our bikes and that we was wearing the company shirt/billboard or we would be taken off circuit until we had sorted it out
kinda took the edge off working, about as much freedom as a gitmo detainie
i didn't like the vibe with the aussie messenger companies, on the flipside they do have proper employees rights/insurance/income protection etc... messengerpost if you can get in seems to be the place over there, if not independant.
unfortunately there's no good companies in london, we should all give up to deliver pizza and kebabs :D
