A DQ! How Olympian! Some years back there was an official race around Smithfield. The winning Wings team hadn't exactly clocked up shed loads of mileage with radios on ther shoulders over the preceding few months - and as they were probably the best circuit in London at the time anyway it was a bit pathetic that they had to load their team. Mark Clancy will do anything to win.
I can't say I know a Caz working for the Pinkies myself.
Silly question.....but how come the champ's working for Go Betweens? Lovely people are Stan and Norm & Co. and I've stayed there earning minuscule amounts myself for unfeasibly long periods on pushies and with engines, but can anyone in lycra be pulling even close to £300 at Gobys at the moment?
While I'm on the subject, which Monika was that in the field? The deranged German or somebody else?

    Names Not Numbers at Go-Betweens.

    Keeping it REAL...
  2.
    Wings in 90?

    I don't think so.

    Team was:

    Paul Burwell - working messenger
    Pete - working messenger
    Andy Capp - working messenger
    Dick Luck - working messenger

Streetwise DID have a ringer, but he was unmasked and DQed.

    Thought you were on holiday!!?
    Nosey git.

Are you sure they were all still on the road at the time, William?
Who was the Streetwise ringer? I thought I was at Streetwise at the time - and I was definitely the best cyclist they had, which tells you how crap they were.
How's the search for the new office going? The Caribbean has low rents and rates, but pick-up times in Soho might suffer if riders keep sneaking back to the office for a cup of tea.

    Yeah, pretty sure.

Burwell and Capp were at Wings City, I actually worked there at the same time as them, and they were full-time.
Pete almost certainly was, and Dick definitely was. Wings pretty much never did the part-time thing.

I can't remember who the ringer was, but I can dig out the MT with the results if you like.
