Post Strike late 80's/early nineties. Nelson Bakewell in Curzon Street for 50 W1's, 50 SW1's, deliver at leisure. Come back later for similar amount of WC's. Did a grand that week. Them were the days.
Also, Cash job picking up from a Mrs Salmon in Fish Street Hill EC3 to W1, COD - its true!
Semi regular docket for me, used to take the tapes from the footy in Bristol to the TV studio for editing, stood on the camera gantry, best view in the stadium and right next to the radio commentator. Two runs (half and full time) getting through the full time crowds makes Oxford Street at Christmas look easy.. Usually did this for Bristol City (Ashton Gate) games but occasionally for Rovers games (and sometimes rugby) at memorial ground worse football but a better route, straight down gloucester road, fast twisty gradual downhill that.. two halves paid about the same as a days work on circuit there.
yes nasty, tis i, _targetbot has my details, get them from him
i cant remember riding into a car after the hermits, not saying that i didnt but i was probably hammered, what happened?
in my early days i also had a goldfish pick up, this was in a bowl with a piece of cardbord selotaped over the top, going from W1 to SW9, obviously i took it............and the fish lived, well it was still swimming when i got to the drop
