    I don't have a problem with gay people. If a posenger rides past me I tend to yell out "Die hipster scum" to say anything that rude to someone simply for being gay would just be horrible. Thank goodness it's winter here and most of the fixster/hipsters go into hiding and the ones (all two of them) that still ride well, it's winter in Alaska, you kind of have to cut them some slack.

    I'm not saying anyone here is homophobic in any way. I have no reason to suppose that. What I am saying is that the term 'gay' when used in a derisory way only serves to marginalise those who identify as gay. Language is important people - it defines what we think of ourselves and others.
