OK. So, I want to be a cycle courier. I looked through the FAQs here (and looked at lfgss.com too). As some of the info is a little old, I thought I'd see if anyone has some more up-to-date information (& if there's anywhere more appropriate to post this, please let me know!). I'm in my 40's, but pretty sure I have (or will have!) the requisite fitness level to do this. I hate commuting & sitting in an office (not that I've always done that - or do it often), but I just want to be 'out there' being a part of life. So, (he said donning flame-proof pants) I have a couple of questions...

Seems Cyclone & Creative & City Sprint are at places worth trying. Is it just a case of turning up at the door and asking if they taking people on? Is this a "good" time of year to look for work (i.e. going into winter)? Do these places usually offer a guaranteed minimum (saying that, I've also read that if they do, they try and keep you *to* that minimum by restricting your drops..?) As a reference figure, how likely is it I could make...say...£250 a week? Working hours.. being a newly-graduated actor, how likely is it I'd get the chance to take hours/half-a-day/a day off for auditions etc?

    Any info gratefully appreciated! Cheers.

Don't do it you'll ruin your life, better you should strike yourself in the nads with a hammer. Some one had to say it.

just get a job with anyone who is hiring then you will find out about who pays the best etc. you could start off with the best paying company and discover you dont like cycling in the rain.
crimbo time is the busiest time of the year and some of the london boys dont do snow, so get a mountain bike and earn some doe.
