    Hi - I am currently building up an old racer as a single speed, but am on a very tight budget. Can anyone tell me a good place to get a single speed rear wheel? Am I best to go to the pub in Holburn and just ask around?

    Have you tried Brick Lane Bikes ? ( http://bricklanebikes.co.uk )

    Their shop is on Bethnal Green Road, just at the top of Brick Lane, near the Beigal shop. They have all sorts of track stuff there, second hand and new!

    Actually I have a old SS wheel missing a few spokes for a few quid if you want.
