I reread Rebecca "Lambchop" Reilly's book again recently. It's about her working and travelling across the US and the various differences in messengering in different cities. Its definitely not a book you wanna read in one sitting, too much same old same old, but if you read it over a couple of weeks/ months it actually works a lot better? I guess it also helps if you know people from various cities a little bit? I know a few people from NY, SF and Boston pretty well and its nice to see them captured through another persons eyes. Shame she never worked in Philly where I probably spent the longest when I was travelling over there? Anyways its an interesting read, particularly for those who have only worked in the days of xda's (it was written mid to late 90s) or have never travelled and met other couriers.
