I was born in the city where the bicyle has been invented. Maybe that explains my addiction to bicycling?
For a forthcoming book project I have interviewed and photographed bicycle messengers in Munich, Berlin, London and San Francisco. Yes, some important cities are still missing but next week I will continue to visit London.
I am interested to hear from you if you are a cycle courier for at least 5 years and would like to have some free portrait shots. Just a couple of photos on a publich place in Central London and of course some shots riding your bike. Together with a 15 minute interview everything should be done in 45 minutes.
You will get the best photos for your private use and have to sign me a permission to use them for my project. As Bill suggested in the sticky note, I am honoring your time with 15£ and another 15£ to the Courier Emergency Fund for every completed set.
One or two couriers will also be asked to wear a helmet camera for an hour or so while being on job - this should become my trailer once the book is being advertised.
Next possible dates are April 13, 14, and 15 (next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). We will certainly find a nice location, you can even direct me to your favorite place.
I am looking for some self-confident people who (mostly) like the job they do. If you are interested, send me a message by my website below.
And here comes my final request: if you have lost a friend who has been killed in London traffic, please contact me also with details ASAP.
Selling out?Don't be a dick. You sell out as soon you say"Roger" to a job over the radio or over the phone or when you hit"accept" on the XDA.I've taken part in shoots like this for cash and will continue to do so.They can be a laugh and the guy is donating to the LCEF so that's good enough for me.
