    I remember this pub when it was my local, run by Charlie Magri 1983 wbc flyweight champ. The whole place was a shrine to boxing and full of real locals complete with authentic tracksuits and rottweilers. Now it's a hipster haven with wallpaper and distressed furniture. Not sure which is worse but I'm looking forward to hearing My, The Rapist and seeing some old faces.

    Old fucker? I'm 25! I lived round the corner on arbery rd and signed the contract for the place in the vic. My landlord was a friend of Charlie's and introduced me. VERY firm handshake. He gave me a box of matches with Cray twins quotes on it.

    Thanx for all who came to the party last nigh..was a great night...we raised over £1000...thanx for everyone's hard work on the calendar, to the bands (Ragworms you rock), those who helped out and to the Victoria...if you want to get a calendar,give us a shout..alternatively they're available at Condor, Look Mum no Hand and soon on the House of Pistard website..also taking orders on hoodies (black or navy, zipped/unzipped, give us your size and contact)....:bigsmile:
