Claimed he needed to get £2 from another 10 people to get enough to spend the night in a Youth Hostel. I was impressed he only asked for £2, but I only had just over £2 on me so that's all I could give him. It was £27 for the night, plus £3 as he didn't have a membership card because his stuff had been stolen.
That's outrageous for a Youth Hostel. How can they justify that?
Said he was from Seattle. Had the right accent. Also said it doesn't get this cold in Seattle as Puget Sound warms things up. (It fucking well does get this cold in Seattle! Though admittedly it's warm for that latitude and it ain't fucking Wisconsin.) He was a bit pissed. I pointed him towards the US Embassy and West End Central nick.

What's the standard form for a nice cycle courier - as oppsed to a bastard like me - when someone tries to bum cash off you?
