either early run 5am (ish) or late run start 8pm onwards,

    easy work, extra beer money,

    mailme for more info; protintw4@yahoo.co.uk

fixed gear nutters and anarchists extremely welcome,
    no primadonnas, timewasters or messers,

    thanks.

    10p a drop?

i almost sent an email but then realised that £10-15 ph is my daytime rate, double that for early mornings/late evenings...
  3.
ok mate, i doubt very much that any bicycle courier is making £500-£750 a week?

and for anybody else mailing me, please take your time to read the ad properly before you mail me asking how much an hour, how many hours a week or where is the job?

    2 runs; west ken-brentford, white city-hanger lane.

and yes jontyponty, you could look at it as 10p a drop, thats why its on an hourly rate,

so flipping the coin you could say today you did 3 ec1's-wc2, a w2 wait and return to se1 and 5 w1's to ec2 making a grand total of £38.50 and working a 10 hour shift,
you only made £3.85 an hour son??????

if anyone is genuinely interested in this job, please mail me,
    thanks.

coming onto a forum with a dodgy job offer is no way to attract a professional courier. people aren't on £5-750 pw in this job but the rates earnt by anyone in the hours you are asking for should reflect a wage of that order (ask for an out of hours courier from any company and see what the prices are compared to daytime rates).

your reaction to questions (some of which i would have asked myself) to a particularly hazy original post scream wanker. unfortunately there's too many in this trade, cheers for outing yourself. son

No, you don't exactly get £5-750 pw as sleepy says. But the prices your saying would be expecting a courier to work AFTER a full day's already riding around all day,
We do have lives after work; kid's/family, studying, the pub ect.
Paying a measly amount expecting as to jump back onto the bike isn't the right way of going about it.

We had a fella asking the couriers in Paris to drop off the huge amount of posters/flyers all around the city, And we where paid 100 quid for the night, most of which people didn't finish off but where still paid for the work done.

Just because couriers don't get a big wad of cash at the end of the week isn't an excuse to charge us very little for extra hours work...

Its not easy work, at that time or anytime.

    How about this,

    http://www.londonspermbank.com/index.html

Its about £20-30 a shot, paid into your bankaccount, your allowed a couple a week.

so flipping the coin you could say today you did 3 ec1's-wc2, a w2 wait and return to se1 and 5 w1's to ec2,
a quick knuckle shuffle at LSB on Harley Street, tea + biccies,
£58 not a bad days work son!!!!!!

    What sleepy said.

If I'm up at 5 in the morning it's either because I'm off my bonce on narcotics or someone has offered me a decent amount of cash to get out of bed.Blanco, the patronising tone to your posts will not endear you to anyone on here so take your flyers and your piss poor rates, roll 'em up,apply a little chain lube then poke 'em up your arse.
    Cheers,son.

i quit my newspaper round ages ago, it was shit
  6.
The flyers wouldn't be for HerbaLife by any chance?
  7.
So your saying that a 7 mile minimum route for the West Kensington to brentford route and a 5 mile minimum route for the white city hanger lane route is worth £10 per hour.

No offence but a W1 to W14 takes 20 minutes and pays around £8.
I think you need to double your prices or place an advert at the Job centre you may get a better response
  8.
thanks for all your comments and friendly advice,
also, im loving the "my son" that mods added to my user, very nice,

in response, im not looking for a gumtree messer or job centre morons, i need my flyers delivered by somebody intelligent with common sense, so i realised i should be looking for a bike/cycle courier,

and no im not a gobby controller, but i was a courier for 12 years, quit the game about 5 years back,

yeah, the rates aren't what id like to offer, but unfortunately thats all that i can afford to pay,
as my business is a one man band and im just looking for a bit of help, i've done these flyers myslf but cant work all day, then go out flyering,

no im not an unsrupulous boss trying to squeeze my workers like most of your fleet managers/company owners (thats exactly why i left couriering myself due to bosses cutting wages, flooding circuits and importing cheap brazilian/east euro labour)

i figured it like this, come out 3-4 times a week, make yourself an extra 100 squid'ish for a couple of hours every few days, cant be that bad?? i used to regulary do 15 hour days, make good cash and loved every minute of being on the road,

no offence, but old school couriers where made of tougher stuff,
these days a lot of so called couriers are to busy trying to look good on thier $1000 fixie bike with no brakes/gears while sipping lattes from trendy fascist overpriced coffee shops
(jokers, think about the guatemalan coffee pickers being forced to work 14 hour days for $1, and you say my rates are low)

anyhow, if anyone would like to mail me direct for a chat about the job, please do,

    thanks,

    best regards my son.

fair enough, it just seems you can't afford one.
  9.
Thinking while driving back from work I just new you were going to get flamed.
Good luck with your business, there's nothing wrong with being gobby as long as you know it. I bet you're great at sales.

some of you fellas, sorry i mean all of that have replied to this post come across as real idiots, are you like that in real life or just behind the safety of a computer screen?

whats wrong with you? im offering a part time job paying £15 an hour and all i get is abuse,
no wonder all the companies would rather hire cheap imported labour instead of you whingers,
its a shame the brits are their own worst enemy,

i've seen you poncing about down great marlborough st., hoxton sq. spitalfields etc whinging about how much money you aint got and that you did'nt get paid your £250 garra last week because of a puncture, what a buch of jokers!

think i'll look elsewhere for heplers and maybe someone would be appreciative they'll have a part time job a few hours a week probably earning about the same as you messers,
glad i left couriering because i dont have to associate with morons like you lot (maybe your not representative of couriers?)

    thanks,

enjoy the winter and watch out for hgv's and bendy buses,

    chao cabrones.....................
  12.
Yo Blanco, thanks for the offer but I'd be too tired to work in the evenings.

As for the 'idiots' above some are my good friends and enemies and while I may not get on with all of em I've never seen em on
    1) A 1000 pound fixie

2)Sipping lattes at a 'facist' coffee shop

Most sensible couriers bring their own food in - remember what you said about rates going down?

I think you mistake them for people off the LGFSS forum.

Anyway, good luck with recruiting, and I'm glad you enjoyed your time on the road years ago 'when it was better than it is now' - wake up mate, lifes only gonna get harder in all aspects of it from taking a shit to ordering pizza, and even recruiting workers. Come back in ten years, if the internet still exists (if it does it wont be as good as it was)
  13.
    Mate,

will you stop banging on about "cheap imported labour" in such a pejorative way?

London is, and always will be, a city of immigrants, and much the better for it.

I personally loved every minute that I was on the road, unfortunately after 6 or 7 minutes I was forced to get back on my bike again because a bus wanted to get past and several bystanders were making hurtful comments about "common sense".

After that time I harboured a deep seated resentment against anyone with a better bike than me and hoped that one day I would have the means to stage a bogus job opportunity which I could use to insult anyone who I mistakenly thought was better than me.

I use to deliver leaflets for pocket money during the school holidays. But then i thought -fuck this, its summer. So I just use to chuck em. Never got caught. Easiest fifteen quid a week then blow it all on sweets.
