Better than Sudocrem - old fashioned Germolene ointment (not the newer water-based cream, which is rubbish). Not vegan-friendly as it's mostly lanolin, but wonderful stuff for stopping your skin from wearing through.
or better than germolene ointment - baby cow dripping. Cheap, lovely kebab odour, stops the skin from wearing through and good flavour for the missus when she's feeling generous.
Lightweights.Let the boils and blisters develope.Letthe puss ooze out then smear all over the affected area. After a while you will have an arse as tough as old boots.
actually, I remember the day(not the year) when i decided to only wear lyrca shorts with the pads. And that was after lancing several rather large and developed boils on my undercarriage. Sit in bath and allow to soak, after ample soaking or till water starts getting cold, squeeze base of said incursion and force it to below skin surface. Season veterens will know the epidermus is slightly tougher than the usual zit areas of face and back. Ideal tools to puncture skin whilst holding incursion are nail clippers or the corner of a disposable razer once removed from its shell. Incise epidermus, increase pressure and force pus through opening, continue squeezing till blood flows and no white gunk is visible. Pain will be minimal after pus has been successfully excabated. Clean and dry the wound before applying an antiseptic topical application such as Germolene or Sudocream. The wound should heal within a couple of days.
the boils were caused because my underpants would roll at the edge when I rode on the saddle, the lycra pads of the shorts are seamless and smooth. It was fantastic the amount of pus that these things held. I cant tell you which is feeling is greater; watching the birth of my son or squeezing these beauties, happy days.
well the boils have now gone, lol only took a few days, a few nights in the tub (one after i went to the boozer and came home slightly pissed, proceeded to fall asleep in the bath for a good hour, woke up in cold water) , some savlon and a good soaking all day yesterday in the pouring rain seem to have done miracles.
Jobs going well, today i found my legs again which considering i was off the bike for a good year and a bit, is not bad, only a week and two days back into riding.
