I would like to open a discussion about "Working Tax Credits", to see if people are aware that if they work full time and don't earn very much that they are actually entitled to extra money from the state.
All those that are paranoid about about declaring several years of undeclared tax may actually be entitled to money rather than horribly indebted.
If anyone has any experience of this..., please enlighten us......
hallo comarade, I did a look at the link you posted for tax credits and it seems I am able to claim around 400. but being a working courier or messenger I think I may need to be fully employed to claim these credits as the result would differ if I were to be 'self employed-cash only'. Which is what I am sure most of us are. Funniest thing was the part about how to make a claim if you didnt actually live in the country. With winter approaching i wonder if I can claim these extra benefits to fund me whilst on 'oliday in a counrty whose currency is even more deflated than ours.
Is it possible to show only earnings at threshold levels, claim all tax back on 'work equipment', claim the credits, sign up for college, and get the rent paid as well.
As a self employed person workin 5 days a week, 40 odd hours I get my tax credits. Very helpfull indeed. Think I get about 250-300 a month. But then I do pay my taxes, it always helps
I did the it and said I could get about 250 but this was for a half year period and not monthly. I didnt know the figure for profit loss as I was pretty much making it up as I went along, though I stuck to the 250 a week formulae which gave me 12500pa minus about 1900 tax and NI contributions all in, just under, around about 50squid a week in deductions.
Any one got a pension? I mean a private one. I use to contribute to one when I left school. I was thinking about doing something like this on the side but I have my doubts cos it would be a waste if i died early.
I'm pretty sure that if you earn just 12500 you could get your tax down to zero with the right deductions. At least you'd f___cking hope so...., 50 out of 250 is way too much for someone scraping-by in the Smoke. Nobody in their right mind would pay that voluntarily.
