    was quoted in the weekly standard expressing confusion about the purpose of those green bike boxes at the front of innersections. He also suggested obligatory wing mirrors.

    Well the good news is that he will probably spend most of his time thinking about rail networks, airports and big budgets.

    MP Theresa Villiers now has responsibility for London transport issues and MP Norman Baker now is responsible for cycling nationwide.

    (Not that it really matters anyway)
