I just moved back to London and brought my fixie with me. When i've seen messengers or general fixie riders, they seem to be cranking much smaller gears than me. Can some of you tell me what gears you are running for london? Cheers.

51-18 or 44-15...

48/18 .. small enough to manouvere but big enough to pump it without spinning out too much. (yeah that's what she said etc.)

actually 42 17 sounds good to my knees. i was running 44-18 when touring and kept it on for a while in brum. getting home and not feeling tired, because it was actually impossible to go fast enough to tire myself out. brilliant
