Some of you may be familiar with the M&S account at 35 North wharf Rd W2.There is a winding slope there that takes you down to the underground postroom.I was made by the security that operates the barrier to wear a f*cking Hi-Vis vest before I could go proceed past him.I felt like a right mug. That is all.
P.S Where the f*ck is everyone? In the last two days only I and someone called Winston have posted on here. Wankers.
I broke my arm going down that ramp. My old comapny had the M+S account so I went there every single day, I had the braking and line down to a tee and managed to get to the bottom and skid about 20 metres to the the courier desk. I then got a new bike with 20c tyres (down from 38s on my old bike) and completly different geometry so I wasn't quite used to the handling yet. I went down it at my usual full pelt, by a third of the way down I was already going faster than the speed I used to get right at the bottom of the ramp, cue me pulling the brakes hard, not hard enough to slow me down and any harder and the wheel started skidding. I hit the outside kerb where the bend starts, launched straight into the wall, did a fucked up wallride/wallscrape bounced back onto the tarmac and slid all the way to the bottom with my bike arriving 2 seconds after me looked upon by some shocked looking security heads.
To be fair I dont think is was Festers fault.I was told by the security that a new entrance is being built into the side wall so the area is deemed as a contruction site. Hope that's cleared it up.
A hi-viz jacket will totally stop you breaking your arm though. Just like a helmet would have stopped me breaking mine. (Or so the doctors seemed to think...)
