I found myself reading and talking with some people, listening to stories like a kid listens to his grandpa adventures, while sitting - me, not the kid- with a sort of big, extended, somehow dysfunctional family (no offense, any family is!) the crotchety uncles and mouthy youngsters, the lonesome and the pairs, brothers and sisters, parents and kids, fights and passion, ebb and flow....you see what i mean?? then i thought: "actually, a family album gathers together a bunch of random people, includes what these people want in it and excludes what they want to be left out; it doesn' t imply judgment or agenda, but just a flow of memories, faces, places and situations, just tells a story. why not then??"
it will be a small book digitally designed and printed, but in the format of a family album.I have to work on it, but may look like a scrap book or similar, hard to predict right now. old pictures and pieces of writing will be included if you want to (means if somebody feels like to collaborate :) )
I could carry on talking but I've already been told I do too much blahblahblah so I cut it short this time. any questions, inputs, insights, feedbacks, comments, criticism are more (much more) than welcome. I'm talking to people and it's being good so far but you know much better than I'd ever do who and what should be in it and how it should look like.
Lisa - have you checked out the old (printed) Moving Target? Bill's been scanning them in from time to time on Flickr. I think there's a link on the front page. BTW - really nice idea.. let's run with it. If you want to pick my (pickled) brains, you're welcome.
yes I did see it in flickr, but still have to go through properly, I'm reading from now backwards here... anyway, YOU are welcome if you want to brainstorm with me, so get in touch please. I'm still mixing people, names and nicknames, have I met you yet? by the way, yesterday I had the naked couriers calendar 2006 in my hands and I was left in awe. it's absolutely brilliant, smart and funny, congratulation and big up to all the ones involved with it!
