same here, there's some truly vicious footage of the police's treatment of protestors at the climate camp. people with hands in the air getting the crap beaten out of them. i left just in time.
Nipped into Tesco at Poultry (Bank juction) on wednesday for a sandwich, none to be found. Same story at all the two nearest Tescos (Eastcheap an Old Broad st). However there was a very prominant display of an incredible beer deal, 15 cans of carlsburg for £6... No food, just very very cheap booze. Clearly someone wanted all those protestors to get wasted so they could be easily arrested (or beaten)... Funny how the offer had disapeared this morning.
