Thanks for the comments. We have a track pump, and i'm working on some sort of water dispenser for frame bottles. I'm planning a sponsored ride from Leather Lane to the Docklands one Friday if anyone is interested, coffee and doughnuts in the city.
I will be off to do Milan- Sanremo tomorrow, but my co-worker Bad Boy Jim will be in place. If your planning to drop in, please remind him all working messengers only pay 75p for drinks and 50p for snacks.
The Emergency Fund cake went well and we raised £3.50. If there are any charitable cakey bakers out there, we are always open to punting it for a good cause.
I don't despise anyone here Mike ( or should i start calling you short fuck?),don't think anyone despises me either but you just made yourself the exception . As for the language , the only impressed here is your stupid face. And boring or/and fat i can still stuff your dick to your face before you know it. Its only 15cm apart anyway.
Forgot to say in all this:good luck to the coffee shop.
Call me anything you like but the fact is, you do despise people. Comments like you stopped riding in the cold and wet for peanuts says it all. You think we are a bunch of losers. Language, impressed. WTF? And feel free to stuff my dick to my face, whatever that means, anytime you fancy and I'll put my foot through your foppy hair cutted head. Cunt!
I always tip. If the service is more than standard, then yes and always tip more than I need to give. I remember years ago when I was working two jobs and my missus had three, two as a waitress. not bad money,
I tip because i remember how poor we were and what a difference to their night you can make. And being generous is a good feeling.
So good luck to your venture even if you are talking about vegan dodgyiness, If I was in your part of town, i would would make a nice donation, but I prefer a nice cup of tea, like the benjys big cup for 70p. Are they still around? I use to fit it in my bottle cage when it was too hot to drink and ride around getting hot tea splash on my cold feet. hhmmm
Fullcity/Lawrence, haven't had chance to pop in yet but sounds great - would like to see if you might like to help out and get involved with the LCEF courier appreciation day next month - we're looking to find someone who can help out with hot coffee and snacks on the day - you could be just the man for the job.
Emilia - your baking skills might also be damn useful on that day if you were up for it - lemon and poppyseed sounds most tasty..
Thank you all for your comments, and thanks Emilia for your cake, it sounds divine. I'm back from Milan, I made it in 9/25, was I faster than Cavandish?
I'll be back tomorrow, thanks to Bad Boy Jim for looking after the place and for everyone that went to visit him. Hope to see you all come by soon.
Ahem. The cake didn't actually make it to Full City - Jim hadn't opened up yet when I got there, so I ended up feeding it to the guys in Brixton Cycles instead (and anyone else who crossed my path). (Nothing personal Lawrence.) But there's plenty more where that came from!
Though actually, 74 Leather Lane's where they're at. Nothing to do with Pink, except that I baked them. (And, gods, I've been at Pink for a year this Friday. Not sure whether I should be celebrating or commiserating...)
JP - The first time I met you was my first day @Pink so your detection may be a bit late ;)
Emilia - Nope, that 21 geezer is another Stefan, although having a Stef, Sev and Stefan gets bloody confusing when the traffics loud and I can barely hear the radio
cafe sounds great...nice idea... i will have to check it out very soon. any opportunity to procrastinate on the job!!
and by the way...this is not meant to detract from business in any way but...for those days when u are truly penniless and desperate, as i found myself today...the HSBC on Fleet Street do free coffee, tea, n hot chocolate!! helped myself to one this morning and will be doing so for the next 99 days approx. (the f*ckers charged me 100 quid worth of overdraft fees already so I'm getting my money's worth ha!)
Many thanks for all your support this week. Many thanks to Emilia for her fine bakery products and Arsen (ouch sorry) for his invaluable insights into Btwin forks.
I'm trying to pull together a proper destination where you'd all want to go, so any more ideas very welcome. First question, does anybody know where I can get some cheap cafe tables? I have bar stools on the way, so tall table are welcome as well.
