Since it's getting a bit parky now, my tea intake has gone up but obviously in London this can get pretty pricey, anyone know of a proper caff styles place or stall where a cup of tea is like 60p or thereabouts as tourist prices are really not doing it for me.
  1.
Aren't those little huts that black cabs stop at kinda cheap, like at Hanover square? I don't really know never stopped at them, too much bacon sarny action going on and i don't eat meat. Pop by metro and Overdrive will make you a cuppa and give you a biscuit.

Yeah I'm not feeling the burning pig flesh stink either  , also I've rediscovered my tea addiction from a year ago so I may end up waiting knocking on the metro door every half hour looking haggard till I get my fix. I went in one cafe, asked 'how much for a cup of tea' £3.20, I laughed hard and walked out!
  2.
OH MY FUCKING GOD 3.20 FOR SOME FUCKING HOT WATER THAT HAS HAD A T-BAG AND THE JUICE OF SOME COW'S TITS ADDED TO IT FOR FUCKS SAKE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE LONDON CUNTS

Black cab huts @: Hanover sq, Grosvenor Gns, Pont st, Russell sq, Temple place, maybe more? (Hanover sq: tea 40p, coffee 50p) Dishwater but hot. Big teas for 50p on coleman st ec2 opposite the passage to guildhall, piccolos cafes on Noble st ec2 or Queen victoria st ec4 under a pound on teas, or the motorbike caf at smithfields meatmarket does teas starting from 40p... Also Brunos, junction of clerkenwell and st johns st aint expensive.

    Careful of Bruno's though.

Cheap it is, but they poisoned a few of us over the years. Having said that the banter between the old couple and their son was absolute gold....better than any soap.

    Thermos flask... Booyah
  4.
See, now you have another idea of stuff to make. A flask holster attachment to match your u-lock holsters.
  5.
Actually, you may laugh, but an american company has a flask that has a carabiner clip as a handle. I used to attach it to my belt, until it started leaking. I was thinking to re-create it with a glass jar and some gaffer tape, but for got about it till just now.

The lad i work with put me on to a good thing. Every friday the guardian have a voucher for a free starbucks (any size and flavour etc) Also you can buy the guardian for 80p or a university union shop for 40p. money saving expert website has info on deals like this. there was a voucher for upper crust any baguette+tea or coffee £8 for buying the times 50p. Take that capitalist coffee houses. Sadly i think the starbucks stopped this week so this is really no help to anyone.

Jeepers, I thought Anchorage was bad in terms of sticking it to the tourists. BTW in Anchorage Side St Espresso is the best bet for hot beverages. On G st. between 4th. and 5th. Nice place owned by an older couple. If I read the exchange rates right you should be able to get pastry with your tea for what the tea costs in London. Sorry just trying to lure you over, I'm lonely.
  9.
yes, kirk, but if you have a heavy night out in the winter you miss the next day. I kept waking up to the sunset when I was in anchorage, couldn't take it.

Cyclone: free tea and coffee and a riders' room with a microwave. We're number 1!

Yeah some people have a tough time with that but you get the opposite in summer. True story I used to maintain an office space downtown. I ended up doing bike repair and other office stuff until 1:30 around solstice I had no light as I didn't plan to stay that late and my route home took my through a dark bit of parkland (around Ben Boke,Sullivan Arena,to give Nhat an idea of the area) where you might find some sketchy types hanging about. So I pulled into Bernie's (A bar, go figure) by last call (around 2:30) it was light enough to ride home.
