I figured no one looks on MTbay so if you dont mind Bill, just a little ad to sell my used pac bag here.
Used metro pac bag for sale. I gave it a fairly good beating, it's a little rough around the edges but these bags are bombproof and last forever. The only reason i stopped using it was because metro gave me a new one. It's been sitting around for a while now so i thought i would sell it. £50 a good deal for a messenger on a budget who wants to move up from the pizza bag. It includes a radio holder, pump holder and the good metro name. You can pick it up from metro, 32 Gt Sutton st, tomorrow, just ask for Zac or Warren. Whisper me if you want it, first come first served.
I have got two brand new Ultimate PAC bags left. Both left swing (strap over right shoulder) with tool bag and extender straps. Possibly the best courier satchel in available.
All come with the standard PAC life time guarantee - £160.
Is it because I'm a tight bastard that I don't see any reason to spend loads of money on something to use for work when my company already gave me a semi-decent bag for free anyway? This is a serious question! I want to be illuminated as to the benefits of getting a pricey bag. Maybe you'll convert me.
If it ain't broke don't fix it I suppose, my work provided bag was utter shite and unsuitable for work in my opinion, just one day of using a pac sped me up and made riding so much more comfortable.
Well, it depends on the company bag, and it depends on how long your planning on doing your job for.
The bag I had from cyclone was ok, but not terribly water proof and sorta small. I use the bag I got from scream everyday, but I had to work for scream to get it.
Long story short, if it has one strap and it's vynal, get your own bag. If it's a pac (I'm pretty sure a load of companies sell them or give them on loan to riders now), then don't worry about it.
