    I just can't bring myself to sign something that reads:

    "We must humbly petition and request that you consider bestowing the honour of Knigthood upon Chris Hoy"

    "We therefore humbly beseech that you consider bestowing this honour upon Mr Hoy. Your humble servants"

    If I won an Olympic medal I would do it for this great country not the queen.....and clearly loads of athletes agree with me, you hardly ever see them singing along to our shameful National Anthem.

    a knighthood is an honour and should be considered as such. Yes they have been abused of late but it is still an honour. If I was nominated for one I would accept it with grace.
