i have a couple of questions that i need reassurance on moreover than advice... How much difference will 5 mm's make, moving from 165 to 170 ? so far riding on fixed on 165 i've only had one pedal kerb conundrum and feel confident enough to position accurately before mounting, plus the whip has a high bb... but i have long feckin legs so i suspect the 5mm's may give me a wee bit in leverage, is this going to be a negligible increase or am i daft to loose the clearance for the monday mornin half awake set call?
I rode 175s at work a lot. Didn't find the grind that much of a problem, and I really appreciated the extra leverage! I also rode spinny gears (still do!)
right, job done, truvativ omniums 170's interordered (a happy middle ground methinks) ... was getting a little worried about the amount of bean can shim to drive side crank ratio... No more square taper for me !
not quite isis... though similarly splined but with external sealed bottom bracket bearing cups, according to wikipeda developed as a advance to isis' shorter bearing life... Time will tell...
