How long have you been a courier? 22 years.

Who do you ride for? Creative.

What was your first bike? Some family hand-me-down.

What do you ride? Cannondale Caad 5, Dura-Ace brakes, 105 rest of gruppo, Hope hubs on Open-Pro rims/ Kysrium wheels.

Describe your childhood in 3 words. I liked learning.

What’s the best docket you’ve ever been given? Milan (o.k. I didn’t ride there but still!)

What’s the worst thing about being a courier? Being so cold and wet that you can feel your brain and body shutting down.

What’s the best thing about being a courier? The people reading this.

Who are your heroes? My Folks.

What’s on your music player? What all of it?? At the moment I’m listening to The Men They Couldn’t Hang. Vinyl is still better.

What advice would you give to any wannabe couriers? Don’t do it if you need money. However, having said that I wouldn’t want to do anything else.

What’s the best lunch deal in town? Bring home-made sandwiches with you.

Favourite place to stand by? It’s not the place it’s the people who are there, so it’s changed over the years.

What made you become a courier? Had bike, needed money.

In a parallel universe you would be… Working at CERN.

What one thing would improve the quality of your life? An in-house bike mechanic.

Who’d play you in the film of your life? Me. I’ve had occasional extra work so I know that you get paid more pretending to be a courier than being one.

What would be your catchphrase? More cider please.

Freedom is… A clean well serviced bike and a long ride with mates. Oh, and the replacement of capitalism with peace and socialism.

Tell us a joke. From the “Uxbridge English Dictionary” Plebiscite: A web page for common people.
