How old are you? Nearly 42
Hang name? Overdrive. Some people call me John.
Where were you born? Islington, North London.
How long have you been a courier? 17 years and 6 months.
Who do you ride for? I’m a Metro ubercourier.
What was your first bike? A little fixed wheel that I loved until one of the bigger boys broke it.
What do you ride now? A Condor Pista and bitches.
Describe your childhood in 3 words. Skinheads, casuals, violence.
What is your earliest memory? Climbing to the top of, then falling off a wardrobe. I was three or four.
What’s the worst thing about being a courier? The fakenger phenomenon.
What’s the best thing about being a courier? The fakenger apocalypse.
Best docket you’ve ever been given? We have a regular job at Metro which pays a tenner. It’s 2 minutes away.
What’s the best piece of clothing/equipment you carry? My new Black Rainbow Project courier bag.
Any advice to wannabe couriers? You will never beat me in an alleycat.
Favourite place to stand by? Metro bunker, our riders room.
What made you become a courier? I didn’t wanna work on building sites anymore.
Who are your heroes? It’s a heroine, Simone Koch.
What’s on your Ipod/MP3 player? My ipod is knackered, but I play music on my guitar with Ragworm who are f*cking awesome.
In a parallel universe you would be.. A cocaine baron.
What would your superpower be? The ability to see through clothing.
What one thing would improve the quality of your life? New knees.
What has your been your proudest moment/greatest achievement? Helping to found, along with Pikey Wayne and Papillon, the London Courier Emergency Fund.
What is your greatest fear? Harm done to the people I love.

What’s the worst job you’ve ever done? Fluffer.
