I think most London messengers that care about such things would agree that Jos is probably the quickest guy in town, at the moment. Happily, he is also one of the nicest guys in town. Some of you probably already worked out that he used to do a lot of ‘proper’ races back in Holland. A few of you may have seen some of the trophies, and the pictures of him crossing finish lines with his hands in the air.
Recently, Jos has taken up racing again. Riding for Rollapaluza Cycling Club, he has rapidly progressed from the lower categories into the Elite races, mixing it with the likes of Tony Gibb. On Tuesday night, he finally got on the top step, winning a bunch sprint at Crystal Palace.
I am sure that you will all join me in congratulating the Beast of the North East. I hear that he is enjoying his racing so much that he is even considering giving up smoking again! Nice one, Jos.
